Rhythms That Move You Challenge
Starting May 3, let’s get moving and get competitive. Your newest challenge is Rhythms That Move You.
For two weeks, virtually travel to the world’s music capitals when you reach a step goal. Plus, work as a team by creating your group or joining an existing one to unlock locations together.
Registration opened on April 26.
Are you ready to find the Rhythms That Move You? Find some tips on incorporating movement in your routine below.
Worst Spot in the Lot – Park at the farthest spot in the parking lot. This is a great way to incorporate movement into your daily routine.
Midday Meander – Take a walk on your lunch break. You can do this alone, or with co-workers, but ultimately it can provide you with a midday refresh.
Water Cooler Conversations – Set a reminder to get up from your desk every hour to get water or stretch your legs. Sitting for long periods may lead to weight gain, heart disease, and back pain.
Be a social butterfly – Plan a weekend hike with your friends on a sunny day as the weather warms up. Spending time in nature is scientifically proven to help ease anxiety, increase focus, and boost the immune system.
Rise to new heights – Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Again, this is a simple addition to your routine that makes a big impact on your health by strengthening muscle and burning extra calories.
